Versatile VETTA: The Apron Jumpsuit

Last Updated on May 10, 2024 by Betsy Ramsey

Less stuff, more substance – am I right? One way to accomplish that is by curating a wardrobe that works for you, not against you. That includes things that can be mixed and matched or styled in a number of different ways. The VETTA Apron Jumpsuit accomplishes all that! Come check out the 5+ ways I’ve styled it in today’s post.

Versatile VETTA: 1 Jumpsuit, 5+ Looks

Virtually all of the pieces shown on VETTA’s website are designed to be worn multiple ways! They offer a variety of different capsules geared to appeal to various styles. The Apron Jumpsuit is from their casual capsule.

The jumpsuit runs fairly true to size. For reference, I am in a size 4. I had the bottoms hemmed about 1 hem-length and am considering having the bust nipped in just a smidge on each side. A size 2 would likely have been too tight in the waist/hips. The fabric resists wrinkling pretty well, making it ideal for travel. The top attaches to the bottoms with hidden buttons on the square-neck side.

Tied with a Back Bow

There’s something about backless tops and dresses that seem so sensual to me! The revealing of skin without emphasizing anything overtly sexual. The dressiest of the looks shown today, styling the jumpsuit in this manner is perfect for a nice dinner out or a special event!

Front V-Wrap

Another dressy option involves crisscrossing the top in front to form a v-neckline and tying it in the back. Use either a small bow or knot and tuck the tails.

Broken Apart & Paired with Shorts

For completely new combinations, try pairing the top with shorts, a skirt or a pair of jeans! Again, you can opt to tie it in front or in back. These shorts are from BR Factory and run true to size. They are a paper-bag style and I’ve removed the belt for this outfit. ON SALE and a bargain right now!

If you’re a fan of the cut-out trend, try twisting your top in the front or tying a front bow, as in the example below. Either method will show a bit more skin and give that “cut-out” effect.

Broken Apart with a Tee & Jacket

Spending the day sightseeing or meeting some friends for lunch? This look is perfect for that! Pair the jumpsuit bottoms with a tee and denim jacket or moto for a chic but comfortable, casual look. In cooler temps, I plan to pair the bottoms with heeled boots and a chunky sweater.

Layered as a Jumper

Turn your jumpsuit into a jumper by layering a tee underneath. Pairing it with sneakers gives a fun, sporty vibe, perfect for errand running, etc.

Items shown throughout this post are linked below except for this handbag from Oliver & Annis. The other straw tote was a street market find.

One piece and so many different looks! For a work environment, I’d pop a white blazer on top and pair it with pumps or low wedges. What other ideas can you come up with? Let me know in the comments below.

Until next time…keep cultivating a simple, stylish, and satisfying life!

  1. Love all the different outfits you’ve come up with!! Looks great! Might have to look this up for myself.

    1. Hi Karin, There are hidden buttonholes in the front, interior waist area of the trousers and buttons on the top that will attach the two pieces when wearing the bib part forward. For the wrap style top, the pieces aren’t attached but worn as separates. I sure wish VETTA was still in business but you can sometimes find pieces on resale sites.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I’m sure that is a question other readers have had as well.

      XO, Betsy
