Cleveland Find: Fount

Cleveland Hustles, a new Shark Tank-like TV show on CNBC, features the leather goods company Fount on this week’s episode.  With that in mind, we thought it would be fun to highlight a few of Fount’s offerings this week.

With it’s dual tones of caramel, The Bellfield Tote in Goldenrod is a great addition for fall!  The tote is available in several sizes starting at $289.  The Bellfield is available in five additional colors if Goldenrod is just not your thing.  The styled look below features my favorite Lucky Brand Sienna Slim Boyfriend jeans, Kasheeda Border Print Top, Belia Bootie and Triple Hoop Gold Earrings.

The Banjo bag is the item I am currently most interested in although I’d love to see it in a smaller/clutch version.  The sleek styling yet original circular shape makes it a really unique piece!  The current Banjo measures an 18″ circumference and retails for $529.

The styled look below features the Banjo bag (scaled down as I’d like to see it) paired with the DSTLD Leather Moto Jacket, Cuyana Silk Slip Dress, Kenneth Cole Charlo Bootie and a Brighton Lariat Necklace.

Fount was started in 2013 by a husband-wife team in Cleveland, Ohio.  Their products are made in the USA of full-aniline leather, free of any plastic top coating, which allows the pieces to develop a lovely patina over time and develop as heirlooms.  Be sure to watch this Wednesday at 10 and check out Fount’s new shop in the Gordon Square district of Cleveland!

Labels to Love: Everlane

This San Francisco based company is a minimalist’s dream!  Founded in 2010, Natty Gal got turned on to them about two years ago.  Using a business model of “radical transparency”, Everlane sources the best factories across the world – often the same ones producing designer labels.  They show their customers true, detailed costs for each item including the Everlane and traditional retail markups. Products are of a consistent, high-end quality at a great price.

My first personal purchase was a long-sleeve silk blouse ($78) – that I wear for both work and on the weekends.  For summer I’ll be stocking up on the sleeveless option ($65).

Last but not least, The Petra Market Tote ($365)- is a favorite of fashion bloggers. Available in 8 colors – it’s roomy, soft and ages well.
