OOTD: Holiday Party

Last night we had our second to last holiday party of the 2016 season. When did these things start rolling into the new year?

I wore an outfit that I received from my mother-in-law this Christmas. She got me the Mango Velvet Dress featured in this post and I thought it could be fun to show how I re-styled it for this event.  The dress code was business/cocktail (confusing, right?) so for a look that was much less boho than the original, I paired the dress with a crystal Y-necklace (LOVE! – also gift from mother-in-law), crystal earrings and a heeled stretch leather black boot.

Labels to Love: Brass Clothing

Overview

Brass Clothing recently made it’s way on to my radar and, at first glance, I’m impressed.  This Boston based company was founded in 2014.  Most noteworthy and similar to another Natty Gal fave, Everlane, the company provides high quality basics without a big markup.

Furthermore, the owners created Brass Clothing to help customers create chic, effortless capsule wardrobes of a small number of mix and match pieces. Their product promise focuses on five principles: Beauty, Quality, Versatility, Ease and Purpose.  Standard prices range from $25 – $128 and all products get quite good reviews.  Finally, be sure to check out the real model pictures and detailed fit information.

While I have yet to purchase from Brass Clothing, I plan to order the tank maxi for an upcoming winter trip.  Will write a follow-up when it arrives!

Farewell to 2016

It’s hard to believe that the last post of 2016 is here!  It’s been a great year with some big changes here at Natty Gal – most notably making the switch from Blogger to a self-hosted WordPress site.  We look forward to increasing our number of weekly posts and to bringing in some other new features in 2017.

A huge thank you to those of you that read and support Natty Gal!
