3 Easy-to-Wear Fall Trends
1. Animal Print
🎵”Look who’s back, back again…”🎵 In my book, animal print (especially leopard) is a classic. However, the pros say it has in-and-out moments. This year, it is most definitely IN.
Leopard and cow print is especially hot this season although all animal prints seem fair game. Now, don’t panic over cow print. This isn’t your Chick-fil-A sort of cow motif but an infinitely chicer calf hair.
2. Kitten Heel Slingbacks
Kitten-heel slingback shoes have been on point for a few seasons now and show no sign of losing steam. They are fantastic shoes for transitioning from warmer to cooler temps and they look equally great with skirts, jeans/trousers, dresses, and even walking shorts.
3. Deep Red
Whether you call in burgundy, wine, maroon, oxblood, or cherry, you’ll want to find your perfect shade of deep red this season. Once again, deep red is a great color for the transition season. It pairs beautifully with white, cream, and khaki as well as black, grey, and navy.
Leather goods (boots, bags, belts) in a deep red tone will give you a lot of versatility and bang for your buck. Or, you can make a statement by diving in with a head-to-toe wine or berry look!
Until next time…keep cultivating a simple, stylish, and satisfying life!

Hi Betsy. So great to catch up with you again. We’re now in a perpetual fall climate, here in Tunja, Colombia. I love the wine and burgundy colors, that you mentioned, and I plan on shopping for clothes, in these colors, to add to my wardrobe. I pair everything with my trusty grey blazer, and Jean’s, and I’m good to go. I am planning on also looking for some mary Jane’s, with a slight heel, to elevate my look, this season. I have black ballet flats, that I bought in Europe, and although they are great for walking on the streets here, i want a little more of a heel, to wear with dresses and skirts. Xx
So happy to hear you are getting settled in Columbia! I love your uniform of jeans and blazer with ballet flats or a kitten heel. Always polished and timeless!
