OOTD (Outfit of the Day)
I recently picked up this slip dress from Quince and must say that I am in LOVE! It fits true to size (for reference, I am approximately 5’4″, 120-125 lbs. wearing a size S). The bias cut is very flattering and I love that the shoulder straps are adjustable. Furthermore, the price-for-quality ratio of this dress (as well as most of Quince’s stock) is just excellent!

While I tend to dress mostly in neutrals, this dress comes in a range of colors and two different lengths, mini and midi. The aubergine and navy colors are both SO GORGEOUS that I’m considering splurging on a non-neutral version.

In today’s post, I am wearing the Quince Silk Midi Dress in Black, Schutz Minimal Mule sandals (another travel staple), an old Banana Republic clutch (similar shown here), and a Banana Republic Essentials Moto Jacket (currently sold out but similar linked below). All jewelry is from Kendra Scott.
4 Ways to Style a Slip Dress for Spring/Summer
Sporty Chic
Don’t let the silk fabrication of this dress scare you off! It’s just as easy to dress up or down as a classic t-shirt dress. For a sporty vibe, try layering a fitted cropped tee or bodysuit underneath the slip dress. Add a pair of sneakers and a practical belt bag and you are ready for errand running or casual sightseeing. If it’s chilly out, toss on your favorite denim jacket.

Polished Professional
To take this slip dress into the office, pair it with a thin ribbed cardigan and on-trend sling-back pumps. The elegant handbag shown below is from French-girl fave Polene and it comes in a variety of different colors.

Vacation Vibes
This slip dress packs into nothing making it the perfect choice for vacations! Style it for a sophisticated travel or resort look by pairing it with a linen tie-front top, a straw hat, and some sandals. Come evening time, you can dress it up with a pair of heels and some sparkly jewelry, somewhat like the look below.

Evening Elegance
Once evening rolls around, dress up this gorgeous piece with metallic sandals (really on-trend this spring) and some sparkly jewelry. Wear a dramatic lip and carry a sleek, black clutch and you’ll be the center of attention. An edgy moto will keep the breeze off of you.

Hope you enjoyed these outfit inspirations! I’ve got even more ideas I’ll be sharing this fall for styling a slip dress in the cooler months. What look did you like best? How would you style this slip dress? Let me know in the comments below.

Hi Betsy. It’s morning here in Cyprus. I tried clicking on the post and it finally worked. I love the dress. It’s so versatile. I would have to go with a version without the spaghetti straps, since those never stay on my shoulders. Are these adjustable? I like the fact that the dress is a silky material, since I tend to like a dressier look. Thank you for sharing. xx
Hi Christina! Cyprus sounds wonderful. Hope you are enjoying yourselves. Yes, the dress has adjustable straps. I need them as well as my one shoulder is slightly higher than the other and my straps tend to slide too. The silk makes for such light and compact packing – really great for travel! Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
