Fall officially started last week, and Northeast Ohioans’ transition was pretty abrupt. High temps near 80 one day and in the mid-50s the next! Anyway, it got me thinking about a home decor fall refresh. Come check out what I found at my local Old Time Pottery store!

Many thanks to Old Time Pottery for providing some of the materials used in this post. I’m proud to be an #OldTimePotteryPartner! Please give them a follow on Instagram for more great home decorating ideas.

Home Decor Fall Refresh
A Layered Fall Tablescape
Over the past few years, I’ve really come to love doing tablescapes for major holidays and for the change of each season. By combining my Old Time Pottery finds with a few items that I already had at home, I created an easy-to-replicate table setting that will last through Thanksgiving!
This layered look has a lot of dimension, as well as a very welcoming, cozy vibe for the cooler fall months. I started with a neutral texture tablecloth, followed by beaded placemats, a rustic bark-edge charger, and crackled glazed melamine plates.
Don’t be afraid to mix up your textures a bit! The subtle beading on the placemats and napkin rings lend a bit of elegance to an otherwise very rustic tablescape.
Items Used:
- Fall Garland
- Boxed Fall Filler Set
- Fall Centerpiece – Old Time Pottery but not shown on website
- Rustic Melamine Plate
- Blown Glass Tumblers
- Hammered Handle Flatwear Set
- Beaded Placemat (similar shown here)
- Natural Wood Chargers (similar shown here)
- Beaded Napkin Rings (similar shown here)
- Rosedale Napkins

Back Door Refresh
With the table looking so great, I thought it would be nice to spruce up our back door as well. Adding a simple bow to this door hanging helped finish the piece off!

Items Used:
- Fall Door Hanging – Old Time Pottery but not shown on website
- Wheat Pumpkin (in both white and orange)
- Fall Ribbon – Old Time Pottery but not shown on website
- Double Border Doormat
While I didn’t end up using this tower of acorns, I think it’s adorable!

Until next time…keep cultivating a simple, stylish, and satisfying life!

Very pretty Bets!
Thanks Lori!
Hi Betsy. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on fall home decor. I’ll be in NY, sharing Thanksgiving with my son, and family. I’m looking forward to helping with the fall table decor.
You’ll be right around the corner from me! If you make it as far west as Ohio, let me know – I’d love to meet in real life!
