Can you believe we’re mid-way into August? Some people even have kids going back to school already. I hope you’ve been having an amazing summer! All is well here and we’re hoping to squeeze in a few more summer fun activities before the nights start turning cool. Let’s catch up, today.

Vintage Ohio
Last weekend we had the opportunity to attend Vintage Ohio, an annual summer event put on by the Ohio Wine Producers Association. It has been a few years since we last experienced it and we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening!
We visited some of our favorite local wineries and also had the chance to try a few from areas of Ohio that we don’t get to very often. This year they also had a brew tent, which was a great addition.
Sadly, we arrived too late in the day to attend any of the cooking school demonstrations. It’s something I definitely plan to put on the calendar for next year’s event. However, we enjoyed the live music while we ate our dinner and relaxed on a perfect Friday night!
NOTE: Thanks to the Ohio Wine Producers Association for hosting us at this event!

Our Hometown Gets a New School
Our home suburb midway between Cleveland and Akron, has had a couple of large development projects underway. This fall, the city will be welcoming community children to an all-new elementary school, which we recently had the opportunity to tour.
Boy, are these kids in for a treat! Everything about this place feels top of the line. A few notable highlights include 4 sensory rooms to assist/soothe children with autism and similar conditions, a bright and modern cafeteria with indoor/outdoor and diner-style seating arrangements, and individual grade classrooms that join around a central hub for collaborative teaching opportunities, etc.
It will be a much different experience for the children than the very outdated but small and approachable schools that were used last year.

Girl Around Town
Northeast Ohio has had a flurry of new restaurant openings this year and we are trying our hardest to get to most of them. Jade New Asian & Sushi Bar stands out for its spectacular rooftop patio with views facing out toward the mouth of the Cuyahoga River. While my thoughts on the restaurant are mixed, the patio will be an amazing spot to enjoy a drink or watch the air show come Labor Day weekend!

This weekend we have plans to try Bartleby, the new supper club that is located in the former Crop Bistro/United Bank Building space. Jump over to my Instagram stories tonight or tomorrow to get a sneak preview! Lastly, our friends at Tiki Underground tell us that they will be opening their AMAZING new location very, very soon. Can’t wait to check out this fabulous addition to Cuyahoga Falls.

Two retail products caught my eye this week! The first is this Kendra Scott Layering Clasp. Such an ingenious idea. It allows you to easily layer existing individual necklaces without tangling by using a 3-rung clasp that keeps each chain in place. Available in both gold and silver tones and only $25. Great stocking stuffer idea for early shoppers.

Next, my friend Kara of Kara Mac Shoes launched a new iFundWomen campaign this week. I purchased my beloved Boho boots during her last campaign and it’s a great way to support her business and get an incredible deal in the process. This new campaign is for the production of 100% eco-friendly and 95% biodegradable footwear. The boots in this batch have the same fantastic interchangeable heels that allow you to switch up the look to coordinate with any outfit. I’ve got my eye on the Betty this time!

Until next time…keep cultivating a simple, stylish, and satisfying life!

Hi Betsy. You live in such a lively, fun place. Thank you for the interesting catch up. We’ve been busy all summer working on our front porch and sunroom. Later in the year we’ll be in NY, and then France, for 3 months. Do you have any more trips planned? Have a great weekend! xxx
Thank you. We’ve been having a fun summer! I can’t wait to see your next YouTube updates and I hope you will do some videos on your experience in France!
You are always spot on! Love your photos, too.
Thanks Susie! Appreciate your stopping by!
