My wonderful blogging friend, Ada of Elegance & Mommyhood asked if I would co-host her weekly Thursday Moda link-up this week in honor of Human Trafficking Day. I was happy to oblige and therefore am posting a day early this week.
It might seem shocking but Ohio ranks high on the scale for human trafficking activity. They’re not only in the top five of states but have four cities in the top 25 ranking for human trafficking. Truly appalling. We are wearing blue today to shed light on this important cause. For help or to report suspicious activity please call the Human Trafficking Hotline at 1 (888) 373-7888. Please check out Ada’s recent post to learn more about this issue.

Co-Host: Betsy
While my day to day wardrobe is comprised mostly of mix-and-match neutrals, I do occasionally like to incorporate some color into my life, especially when it comes to summer/resort wear. Silk caftans, particularly those by Lilly Pulitzer and Trina Turk, are favorites for travel and home. They are so lightweight and pack up into nothing. I typically pair them with a nude flat or heel, also super-versatile when traveling. The little straw clutch is an Amazon find and only $15! For an alternate look, try pairing the caftan with slim cropped trousers or leggings.
The Lilly Pulitzer caftan I’m wearing in the photos above runs TTS. For reference, I’m in an XXS/XS. While it is sold out in stores, I found several NWT versions and have linked them below. My sweet little starfish necklace was a gift from a friend. Find a similar one linked here. If you’re a crafty sort, you can even make your own caftan using two silk scarves. Lots of tutorials on YouTube, etc.! I may give this a try too, as I’d love one in basic black. Many thanks to Ada for including me in this important event!
