“Natty” style is all about mindfully cultivating a wardrobe of quality, versatile pieces that can be styled in a multiple of ways. A summertime staple you should consider adding to your wardrobe is the LWD (little white dress). Lucky for you, I have found the PERFECT one and am giving you four fantastic ways to style it!

4 Ways to Style an LWD
A shift dress looks good on most body types. The one shown here, by J. Crew, is made of a stretch cotton denim which enables it to hold up to scrubbing when you encounter those inevitable spills. Oh, and it’s got pockets!
For alternate styles, check out this version from J. Crew Factory or this slightly more delicate linen version from Tommy Bahama. Both of these options have light fringe at the hem.
Seaside Chic
For a summery Cape Cod inspired look, pair the shift with these cute graphic accessories from the new spring Marimekko x Uniqlo collab! The retro red sunnies give a pop of color and the chic rope bracelet reminds me of an adult-ified version of the white sailor rope band permanently affixed to my wrist each summer while growing up.

Sporty Style
Playdates or errand running? Pair your white shift with an unbuttoned denim shirt (lighter than a denim jacket but gives the same effect), some white sneaks, classic aviators, and a necessities-only striped cross-body. A denim headband keeps the hair out of your face.

Flawless Fem
Does the thought of wearing sneakers send shivers up your spine? That’s OK, girlie-girl, I’ve got you covered. Pair your shift with a lady-like handbag and low-heeled sandal. Top with a cardigan that pulls some color from the bag. The snakeskin on the sandal and bag also add the benefit of incorporating some extra texture to this look!

Modern Mod
Feeling like a cool cat? Try this hip, mod look by pairing your shift with a thin, short-sleeved turtleneck, some graphic Mary Janes (many color combos available), and a bold red lip. This fun ball-shaped bag is only $15, which is perfect because Natty Gals don’t spend a lot of money on trendy items!

Transition to Fall
Because of the heartier denim construction, this dress will also transition well into the fall months. Adapt the Modern Mod look by adding a pair of tights, leopard coat, and cute beret! Alternately, try a tall boot and moto combo.

Thanks so much for your likes, shares and follows! Until next time,
I like the flawless fem look the best, with the pretty aqua sweater and the lovely handbag and sandals. For some reason a sporty look is just not me. I have sneakers just for working out. All the looks are terrific, though, Betsy. thanks for sharing.
Glad you liked the fem look! I’m mostly a sporty girl but could see myself mixing things up with all the looks to suit different moods/occasions! Thanks for stopping by!
