Spring Floral Print OOTD & Life Lately

What a week, huh? Life as we know it has changed drastically since my last post. Does a spring floral OOTD sound a bit trivial these days? Well, it is. But I don’t know what else to do other than just proceed as best I can with my planned content. Hope you’ll find this spring floral print outfit inspirational and a nice distraction from all the unsettling changes we’ve dealt with this week!

Spring Floral Print: OOTD

This silk jumpsuit from Rebecca Taylor just screams springtime! The darker base color works well in Ohio where temps can stay quite chilly through early May. But the floral pattern and ruffled collar/sleeve details give a nice nod to the warmer and cheerier days to come.

Oh, and did I mention it’s front entry? Bonus for anyone who has struggled with a back zip jumpsuit alone in the ladies’ room! This exact jumpsuit sold out quickly but I’ve also linked comparable styles below.

Life Lately

Last week we made the very difficult decision to go ahead with plans to attend the Style Collective conference in Raleigh, NC. I’m glad I made that choice but it has come with a hefty dose of guilt. Things changed so quickly over the weekend. When deciding to go ahead, we considered:

  • the fact that it was a small conference with less than 20 attendees;
  • that we work from home and had fairly minimal public contact before heading out (ie, didn’t think we carried the virus with us); and
  • that we’d easily be able to isolate once we returned

Isolating is exactly what we are doing right now (like so many of you). We plan to have no contact with elderly friends/relatives until we’ve passed at least 14 days since our flight home. No personal symptoms for either of us but realize we could still be carriers.

The other girls attending expressed similar concerns. Winters are tough for me and I arrived at the conference not feeling my best (emotionally) and a bit filled with doubt. But the social interaction and forming new friendships proved to the exact lift I needed. Being house-bound now would certainly be that much more difficult if I hadn’t gotten pushed out of my slightly depressive rut.

As so many have a bit more time on their hands these days, I wanted to share the Instagram feeds of the girls that attended the conference. They cover a diverse range of topics, from home decor/lifestyle to beauty and plus-sized fashion. Discover a few new favorites to follow as you’re browsing around this weekend!

Stay healthy and remain kind/patient, friends! It may take some time but this too shall pass. Until next time…

  1. I love the floral print jumpsuit! We all need a little inspiration for spring and for when we can finally go shopping again! I love the kitten heeled sandals too. Thanks for sharing and for keeping me inspired.
