This year there was one item that I was secretly really hoping that Santa would bring me. And….he did!! (happy dance)
It’s the feature of today’s outfit post, this super-fun “Happy Wifey” slogan sweatshirt!

About the Look
While sitting at the gate at Sharm el Sheikh airport, I spotted a girl wearing this AWESOME sweatshirt. I HAD to have it. After quickly typing the text “happy wifey sweatshirt” into Google, I came across Happy Wifey Oslo. Exact sweatshirt found!
As you might guess, Happy Wifey Oslo is based out of Norway. Fortunately, they ship to the US. It’s a newer company (founded in 2014) and their product line currently consists of sweatshirts, makeup bags and beanies. Their signature sweatshirt comes in four colors: black, white, grey and dusty pink in sizes S-XL. For reference, I am wearing a small.
It is the softest, thickest sweatshirt I’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing! And I love that it is shaped for a woman’s body. The exterior is organic cotton while the interior is an incredibly cozy poly-fleece. It’s a bit on the pricey side for a sweatshirt but worth every cent!
The wide leg crops are a bit out of my comfort zone but new year, new things, right? I tried both Madewell’s Emmett and Wide Leg Crop jeans and found the wide leg crop to be the better fit for me. The Emmett has a bit higher waist and the rear pockets seemed to sit too high on my bum. I also preferred the look of the wash on the wide leg crops.
When styling wide leg crops, look for tops that are somewhat fitted and hit no lower than the hip bone. Body-skimming tanks, tees and knits as well as moto and bomber jackets are all good candidates. Make sure your boot/bootie either meets or lies under the hem of the pants.
The denim should transition really well into spring/summer. I’m already thinking of ways to style them. For daytime I love the crisp look of a white tee and my bright Tory Burch slides from last year. For date night, a simple black tank, heeled sandal and sexy handbag are what I have in mind.

Slogan sweatshirts, wide leg crops and booties? Yes please! In my photos I kept the look clean by wearing a black bootie but for extra style points, try pairing this outfit with a leopard boot. The widget below has options for every price range.
Thanks so much for your likes, shares and follows! Until next time,

Absolutely love this whole look and it has me thinking about pulling out my coulette pants and styling them forfwinter with these tips.
Thanks so much! I’ve been both excited and nervous about the wide leg silhouette due to being 5’4″. My typical skinny jeans look was feeling a little repetitive and I found myself craving something different. Trying several to get a good fit made a big difference. Can’t wait to see what you come up with for your culottes!
I have been on the fence to try culotte cropped jeans like yours but you nailed this look, Elizabeth. And I am happy Santa brought that pretty sweatshirt all the way from Norway. In my post this Monday, I am also outside within all the white snow and I even carried a similar coral clutch too. Check it out. =)
My new Thursday Moda Linkup is already LIVE! Come join it my friend! =) Thanks.
Have a Pretty Weekend my friend and Thanks for linking up last week! Ada. =)
Thanks so much Ada! I’m so glad you liked the look. It can be hard to find the right proportion for wide leg crops, particularly when you are on the shorter side. Really lucked out with the fit of this pair!
